Just arrived!! If you ask any of the WWII Toccoa men “What do you remember about training in Toccoa?”, you will get the same answer, “3 miles up and 3 miles down". Most of the men ran Currahee Mountain every day, sometimes more than once. The new coin is a replica of the marker that was at the top Currahee when the men reached the top in the 1940’s. The marker was installed in 1932 and was there until it was replaced in the 1970’s. The older one is now currently on display in Currahee Exhibit Hall of the museum.
